We may be in a Muslim country, but we have not lacked in Christmas festivities. We have been celebrating since the day after Thanksgiving, just like in the good ol' USA. Today is Christmas Day, and I honestly feel like we have "done Christmas" right. I will list a few of our fun activities: Vera's Winter Concert, Caroling at the Compound, Santa's visit and singing at the Compound, cookies and movies at Gaith and Yara's house, Christmas Sunday School with the kids, and the first annual Lyon/Haggard Christmas Eve Open House. Although our travel plans fell through, it was lovely to celebrate at home with some good friends. Plus, we have even more festivities to come when Gran Jan and Pop arrive--yay!
