Grass is not something that surrounds us, living in the desert. Davy and girlfriend Billie found a nice patch in our neighbor's garden one week, and became obsessed with it. It was so sad the day we came home to find out that it had been mowed!

Halloween 2013: Goldilocks, A Heart-Throb Dinosaur, Little Red Riding Hood, and a Pirate

Vera and Davy were more than prepared for Halloween this year, thanks to Gran Jan's costumes. They started out as Goldilocks and the Two Bears (one bear was left at home) and a Heart-Throb Dinosaur for the school parade. For the compound party and trick or treating, they turned into Little Red Riding Hood and a Pirate. For the second time, Vera won the costume contest for her age group!  We could not have been more proud. :)

Dubai Fall 2013

We had such a great time in Dubai for spring break, we decided to head back for November Eid break as well.  This time we pretty much stayed in the Marina the whole time, and went to the beach every day.
