Sibling Indoor Fun

I like to think that the hot weather doesn't faze us, because really, it doesn't!  We are still going to the park, despite the high temps and burning slides.  There are times, though, when it's nice to stay inside in the air-conditioning.  Vera and Davy are starting to play more together, which is awesome.  Now that he's crawling (pics later), he can entertain himself more, although this is not always a great thing.   Vera is almost 3 and is still not a pro at playing by herself, unless she's watching a podcast on the iPad. 

When we first got Davy a high chair, Vera decided she needed to sit in one, too.

Splish Splash Day!

Splish Splash Day was a super fun day for the Toddlers and Trailer Babies...more so for the toddlers, as you can see from some of the babies' expressions.  Our school has a water day for all the younger grades, and Vera had been looking forward to her turn for weeks.  She got to wear her bathing suit to school!  That was a big deal.  She went crazy splashing around in the pools and on the slide.  Davy was not so happy, but it was not all his fault, as it was a bit chilly and the big event cut into his normal nap time.  All of the teachers were wonderfully patient and energetic with the kids and babies.  I feel so lucky that I was able to go and watch and take pictures--just another one of the many reasons why I love my job and on-site daycare!  Afterwards I even had time to change Davy and rock him to sleep in the trailer.

Yara's Birthday Party

Vera and Davy have made great friends this year.  This was Yara's birthday party--one of Davy's friends from the trailer.  Gaith, her brother, is Vera's good friend from Toddler Care.  And their mom, Cheza, happens to be my friend!  They have been faithful park-goers like us--dust, rain, heat and all.  The kids all had a fabulous time at this party, although Davy needed a wee snooze at one point.  We'll miss these guys during the summer!

Here are some more pictures of park days...before it got too hot to touch the swings, that is.  These days we don't venture out to the park much. The swimming pool is our new playground.   This is also the day Davy turned 7 months!
