This was our first year to ever have to work on Easter Sunday. The Saturday - Wednesday work week continues to surprise us. It has almost been a year, and I still think in TGIF and hump-day-Wednesday terms, when in the Arab world it is TGIW and Monday Hump Day. What this meant is that we had 2 celebrations--once on actual Easter with the church group, and one the weekend after with our compound school friends. Vera got to participate in TWO egg hunts, and accumulated quite the basket of treats. It's amazing how much changes in a year! Last year Vera had no interest in finding eggs--she preferred to squish the hard-boiled eggs in her hands and eat them immediately, shells and all. This year she figured out quickly that plastic eggs had something delicious in them, and she needed to get as many as possible, as fast as possible.
